On April 10, 2008 Debt Free League reached the following debt settlement on behalf of a client as a result of a debt negotiation with HSBC Card Services:

HSBC Card Services inc. and HSBC Card Services, Inc. are affiliates of HSBC Bank Nevada, N.A., which provides administrative and processing services for as credit card or line of credit program. In their debt settlement letter, HSBC Card Services discussed the account they had issued our client. Because they were made aware (by our debt negotiators) of our client's financial situation, HSBC Card Services agreed to accept a proposal to settle a $2,095.60 unpaid account for $838.24 as payment in full. Upon receipt of the agreed amount, they also stated that the debt would be deemed satisfied, thereby relieving our client of any further obligation to the creditor.

In summary, our debt negotiation manifested a debt settlement letter and offer from HSBC Card Services, resulting in a savings of 60 percent of the outstanding balance. This led our client to save $1,257.36.
